President of Turkmenistan and U.S. Senator Discuss Climate Change Issues

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with U.S. Senator Steve Daines from Montana in Ashgabat on Monday to discuss climate change issues, according to Watan Habarlary news program.

Senator Daines proposed joint projects to promote sustainable energy solutions and environmental protection. The discussion also focused on strengthening bilateral ties between Turkmenistan and the United States, with particular attention to trade, investment, and climate change.

Senator Daines emphasized the potential for increased cooperation between American companies and Turkmenistan in sectors such as agriculture, technology, and infrastructure.

Both President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Senator Daines expressed their commitment to expanding trade relations and deepening economic cooperation. They emphasized the importance of building partnerships to stimulate growth and address global challenges like climate change.

The two sides expressed confidence in further strengthening their bilateral relationship.
