On 28 November President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov visited Mary velayat where he held a working meeting.
In the past few years Mary velayat has demonstrated good performance in all areas, the head of state acknowledged with satisfaction. Yet, there are shortcomings in the development of the velayat, — the state information agency TDH reports.
The region failed to fulfill contractual obligations in the wheat yield. The work which is underway to harvest beet crops, does not meet the requirements, which demonstrates the poor level of organization in the velayat, — the head of state said.
Lagging behind the Rural Area Reforms Program was cited among the shortcomings. The residents of the velayat are not fully supplied with drinking water, and no gas pipelines or power lines have been installed at the allotted plots of land.
No adequate work is being carried out in etraps and rural areas to build and repair bridges while the condition of internal roads is unsatisfactory.
The President emphasized that executives of the relevant ministries and agencies are directly responsible for the shortcomings. Their lack of close cooperation with khyakims of velayats, cities and etraps is the reason for shortfalls, as a result of which burning problems of the velayat inhabitants are not addressed in a timely manner.
The head of state relieved the khyakim of Mary velayat Byashim Annagurbanov from his post in connection with assuming a new post. Dovranberdi Annaberdiev, who was relieved from the post of Deputy Minister of Finance and Economy, was appointed the new khyakim.
The President also relieved the khyakim of Sakarcha etrap Mukhammetdurdy Gulamov from his post for shortcomings and failure to fulfill work responsibilities. T. Kakadjanov, who occupied the post of deputy khyakim of Mary was appointed as his replacement.
Let us recall that the President of Turkmenistan is continuing his working visit across the country’s regions.
A few days ago he visited Lebap velayat where he had dismissed some officials for corruption, and renamed settlements named after Saparmurat Niyazov.
