Prior to Defender of the Motherland Day, which is celebrated in Turkmenistan on 27 January, President has acknowledged some officials.
For instance, Colonel Shadurdy Durdyev, Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Border Guard Service, was awarded the rank of Major General.
The similar rank was awarded to Colonel Atadurdy Osmanov, Chairperson of Turkmenistan’s Customs Service, who twice received severe reprimands in 2018.
Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov also signed decrees to award the 2nd qualification grade to Gylychmyrat Khallyev, Chairperson of the Supreme Court who held the 3rd grade qualification rank and the rank of State Counselor of the 3nd qualification grade to Batyr Atdayev, Senior Counselor of Justice.
The state information agency TDH reports that after signing the decrees, the head of the state personally handed over the relevant badges of merit to the executives of military and law enforcement agencies.
