Qantas to launch direct 20-hour passenger flight from Sydney to London in 2025

Australian airline Qantas Airways Limited plans to launch a 20-hour flight from Sydney (Australia) to London (UK) at the end of 2025, which will be the longest flight in the world.

The airline will operate flights on Airbus 350-1000 aircraft, and the length of the entire route will be about 17,000 km. While the airline must prepare the aircraft - reduce the number of seats so that the board becomes lighter.

During the flight, passengers will be able to see two sunrises (due to jet lag), according to Thrillist.

Qantas Airways Limited is Australia's largest airline. The airline is headquartered in Sydney. Founded in 1920, it is the third oldest operating airline in the world (after KLM and Avianca)

Now the longest flight in the world is operated by Singapore Airlines - the carrier flies from Changi Airport (Singapore) to New York (USA). The length of the route is about 15,000 km, and the journey time is 18 hours 40 minutes.
