Qatar makes it easier to get visas online

Qatar now processes all visas through the Hayya website, which was previously used to register fans for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

To apply for a visa to Qatar, the Hayya website will need to upload documents and pay a fee, according to the Gulf Times.

Travelers will have access to three new types of e-visa A1, A2 and A3.The first category includes nationals of countries that do not have the right to obtain a visa on arrival or who are not allowed to enter Qatar without a visa.

The second category is for residents of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.The third category is for citizens with a visa or residence permit in the US, Canada, UK, Australia, New Zealand and Schengen countries.

Visa processing through this platform takes up to 48 hours.

Citizens of Turkmenistan need a visa to visit Qatar. Now tourists from Turkmenistan fly to Qatar with a connection at the airports of Turkey or the United Arab Emirates.
