Receipt for invisible painting sold for nearly 1,2 million USD

The receipt for a work of “invisible art” by French artist Yves Klein was sold for nearly 1,2 million USD at the Sotheby’s auction. The check, which is part of Klein’s imaginary art series “Zones on Intangible Pictorial Sensibility”, is dated December 7, 1959.

It was supposed, that this lot will be sold for 551 thousand USD, but it received the maximum bid of 1 151 467,40 USD. At Sotheby’s consider, that Klein’s conceptual work predicted the emergency of cryptocurrency and the exchange of non-fungible tokens (NFT), informs mir24.
