Requirements for the work of authorized economic operators have been approved in Turkmenistan

The State Customs Service of Turkmenistan approved the Procedure for including and excluding legal entities from the list of authorized economic operators, as well as the rules for issuing registration certificates, suspending and renewing their validity. This was reported on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice.

The document establishes the conditions for assigning and depriving the status of an authorized economic operator, as well as requirements for its work.

According to the Procedure, to be included in the register, a legal entity must meet a number of criteria, including compliance with customs, tax and other legislation, the availability of warehouse space and logistics capabilities.

Companies that have violated customs rules or ceased their core activities are subject to exclusion from the list.

Authorized operators can be customs brokers, owners of temporary storage warehouses and logistics companies. The procedure regulates their rights and obligations, in particular, control over the movement of goods and reporting.

More details about the document can be found on the legal information portal of the Ministry of Justice of Turkmenistan.
