On 30 November, 2020 a regular meeting devoted to the prevention measures committed to stopping the spread of COVID-19 was held in the khyakimlik’s office of Turkmenabat.
Apart from law enforcement officers and officials from the public health authorities, executives of Lebap passenger motor transport enterprise had been invited to attend the meeting, correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report.
Pursuant to regulations, all passenger motor transport as well as privately-owned shuttle buses must be provided with sanitizers for passengers.
Сontainers with a sanitizer must be installed upon entrance to the passenger compartment and must be visible and easily accessible.
Buses will be provided with 5 liters of disinfecting liquid on a daily basis. If this quantity is not sufficient, bus drivers are obliged to purchase the rest at their own expense. Two drivers are assigned to each bus.
In cases when there is a sneezing or coughing person among passengers, a driver is obliged to change the route and take him/her to the nearest medical institution. Medical doctors must subsequently make a list of other passengers and the driver needs to return to the car park and report to his executives.
The Road Traffic Control Department and the public health authority are responsible for the execution of these instructions. Their employees have the right to stop public transport and check availability of sanitizers. If a sanitizer is missing or some passengers do not wear masks, a fine of 180 manats might be imposed on drivers.
