Turkmen schoolchildren successfully competed in the 60th International Mendeleyev chemistry olympiad, held in Moscow from the 15th to 23rd of April.According to the results of the Olympiad, students of the specialised boarding school named after Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy in Ashgabat won 4 medals.
Rustem Jumayev and Diyar Dovletov received two silver medals, and Aylar Orunova and Palvan Ilmammedov received two bronze medals.On this occasion, the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan held a gala event, during which our winners were presented with valuable gifts. 200 talented schoolchildren from 37 countries took part in the prestigious international chemistry competition.
Students competed in theoretical knowledge and practical laboratory skills.The Mendeleyev olympiad is deservedly one of the most significant global chemistry competitions among schoolchildren, consistently serving its primary goal the formation of new generations of chemists, as well as the widespread popularisation of chemistry education.
The victory of Turkmen schoolchildren in a competition of this level once again demonstrated the high quality of national education, the broad intellectual potential of our youth, their desire to conquer new heights, and strengthen the authority of the country in the global scientific and academic community.
