Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with the President of Tajikistan

On September 14, a meeting between the Presidents of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon was held in Dushanbe. During the meeting, the heads of state discussed the prospects for bilateral cooperation, as well as the agenda of the upcoming meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia, reports the press service of the Tajik leader.

The President of Turkmenistan arrived in Tajikistan to participate in the Fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the meeting of the Council of Heads of Founding States of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea.

During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of trade and economic cooperation, including increasing the volume of trade turnover and expanding cultural and humanitarian ties.

The presidents expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations and agreed to further strengthen cooperation in various fields.

In particular, it was considered necessary to intensify the activities of the Intergovernmental Commission of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.

The presidents also exchanged views on other issues of interest to both countries.
