The state information agency TDH reports that on 27 May Serdar Berdymukhammedov, who is paying a visit to Dashoguz velayat, took part in the festive ceremony to open a new general hospital and an oncology clinic.
The medical facility arranged a red carpet welcome with songs and dances for the head of state.It is reported that the hospitals are equipped with medical equipment from Germany, France, Italy, Japan, US, the Netherlands, Denmark and UK.
The clinic will employ 1,331 healthcare practitioners and some of them have completed internship in Russia and Turkey.
In his opening speech the President pointed out that hospitals “will be serving people for many years and will increase life expectancy”.
In the general hospital, which accommodates 7 buildings and 32 departments, the head of state was greeted by children in white medical gowns. He inspected some departments, talked to doctors and presented vehicles to the hospital.
In the oncology clinic Serdar Berdymukhammedov also visited departments, inspected equipment and presented vehicles.
According to TDH, then international quality certificates ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 were awarded to the clinics by representatives of KTQ International GmbH (Germany) and Philips Medical Systems (Netherlands).
Let us recall that the Minister of Healthcare and Medical Industry Nurmukhammed Amannepesov informed the Chairperson of Halk Maslakhaty of Milli Genegsh Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov, during his visit to the Ashgabat Scientific and Clinical Centre for Women and Child Health on 18 May, on preparations for the opening ceremonies of the clinics.
In February 2019 the President signed the decree, pursuant to which the private company Ajaýyp Gurluşyk would build a 450 bed clinic in Dashoguz and an oncology clinic for 150 beds.
