Since start of the week Turkmenabat carries out a clean-up campaign and exterminates stray animals

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report that despite cold weather, since the start of the week streets have been mopped in Turkmenabad and roads sides have been cleared of garbage and bushes. Stray animals are being caught.

Night сrews, which also include public sector employees because of shortage of personnel, have been set up in house administrations. They are obliged to catch stray dogs and cats at night and throw animal poison made by the local public health authority in apartment blocks.

Each organization is obliged to assign one employee for the night crew.

Land tenants from agricultural associations whose plots of lands are located nearby are being mobilized to clear roadsides. These are primarily inhabitants of the villages in Chardjou and Sayat etraps. One can now see groups of rural residents with spades and rakes. Sometimes they warm themselves by the fires made of cut bushes and collected garbage.

Regional authorities usually carry out such clean-up and stray animal extermination campaigns when the Turkmen President is scheduled to pay a visit to the region.

Let us recall that during the meeting with the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Qian Naicheng held on 12 January, 2021 President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov said that the Malay gas-compressor plant is scheduled to be festively commissioned in Lebap velayat in a few days. The post Since start of the week Turkmenabat carries out a clean-up campaign and exterminates stray animals first appeared on Chronicles of Turkmenistan.
