Medet Materov, a second-year student at the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, won first place in the international competition “Best Student of Central Asia,” held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.
More than 350 talented young people from countries across the region took part in the competition, which was organized by the “Bilim Innowasiýa” center and the “Academy of Best Students” of Kazakhstan.
Following the results of the competition, the Turkmen student was among the winners and was awarded a special diploma, certificate, commemorative cup, and badge.On this occasion, a ceremonial event was held at the university on April 13.
Speakers congratulated the young man on his outstanding success on the international stage and wished him further productive scientific work, excellent studies, and new high achievements.It was emphasized that Medet Materov’s prestigious award is yet another testament to the success of Turkmen education at the international level.
Medet Materov has repeatedly been recognized in various competitions and academic contests.He received third place in the “Digital Solution — 2025” competition, as well as first place in the “ICT Start-up” competition and the international scientific project competition “Agro-Innovations: A Bright Path to Sustainable Development.” The young researcher actively participated in the Student Science Week at the Moscow State University of Geodesy and Cartography and successfully competed in various other online Olympiads and contests.
Medet is actively engaged in research at the International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan.Drawing on the book by the Esteemed Hero Arkadag, “Medicinal Plants of Turkmenistan,” he developed a special medicinal spray based on mint and dandelion to help overcome tobacco addiction.
The student’s innovative project has received high praise from specialists.Students of the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University consistently demonstrate strong results in national and international competitions, clearly reflecting the wide opportunities and favorable conditions created in the country for the comprehensive development of youth, quality education, and the training of highly qualified future specialists.
