Student variety performers played a concert dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality

Students of the Variety Art Department of the Turkmen National Conservatory, in a hurry to congratulate their country on the upcoming holiday, havt prepared a concert program dedicated to the 25th anniversary of Turkmen neutrality.

It should be reminded that young musicians take part in international competitions and festivals every year. So, in September, violinist Jemal Agajanova became a laureate of the 9th International Online Competition for Young Classical Music Performers among the countries of the Islamic world.

Classmates and conservatory teachers follow the achievements of their colleagues and rejoice when students and graduates of the music university achieve success not only domestically, but also on the international stage.

Therefore, the program of this concert turned out to be rich and international. With their choice of compositions, variety performers seem to remind us that we are all children of our native big planet, and the culture and musical traditions of different countries open up wide opportunities for the development of creative abilities and acquiring knowledge.

The works by Turkmen composer Nury Khalmamedov, British musician Eric Clapton, Argentinean Astor Piazzola and many other famous figures were harmoniously combined in the pop concert program.Among performers were several debutants; it was the first public performance for the first-year students.

By performing in a small hall of the conservatory, the beginners admit that the excitement before going on stage does not interfere, but only helps them to get ready.

This year, 26 students entered the Variety Art Department, and a total of 145 musicians study on my course, says Variety Art Department of the Turkmen National Conservatory Maysa Mammetjumayeva.

We have a lot of talented and promising guys, and the concerts of our Variety Art Department are always sold out.Recently we played a musical program made up of film classics hits, which we are asked to repeat as an encore.

Our future plan is to collect the best songs from popular cartoons in one concert.

ORIENT reminds on November 27 and 28, a big hall of the Turkmen National Conservatory will host two landmark concerts dedicated to the 250th anniversary of German composer Ludwig van Beethoven and the anniversary birthday of Turkmen composer Rejep Rejepov. Admission is free.
