Telegram reaches over 500 million users

Message application Telegram has reached more than 500 million active users.

25 million new users from across the globe joined Telegram in the last 72 hours.

Significant increase of users became possible thanks to the unique function of the social network as Telegram suggests a greeting sticker or video message to welcome your friends and someone nearby.

The Telegram Messenger, founded by a Russian entrepreneur and programmer Pavel Durov, was launched in 2013. At that time, Telegram had 100,000 active users, and their number increased every year, and to date, 1.5 billion users signed up. The messaging application is available for both Android and IOS.
