The 300th anniversary of the Turkmen poet Magtymguly will be solemnly celebrated in Uzbekistan

This year, Uzbekistan will widely celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi. The advisory document was signed by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, writes Gazeta.uz.

Magtymguly is an outstanding poet, whose works are imbued with humanism and call for friendship between peoples. His work is revered in many countries, especially among the Turkic peoples.

In Uzbekistan, where Magtymguly's poetry is very popular, a number of events are planned to mark the anniversary. His selected works and scientific works about his life and work will be published.

It is planned to create a feature film with the cooperation of filmmakers from Turkmenistan, and conferences, exhibitions, theatrical performances and other cultural events dedicated to this significant date will also be held. All this is intended to pay tribute to the great son of the Turkmen people and his priceless literary heritage
