On Tuesday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to Romania A. Annayev visited the Oil and Gas University of Ploesti, where he met with its rector Alin Dinica.
The parties discussed further cooperation in the field of higher education.
The rector of the university expressed his readiness to deepen and expand mutually beneficial cooperation. The Romanian side also welcomed the established ties between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas and the Ploiesti Oil and Gas University (Cooperation Agreement of 2017).
In turn, the Turkmen side offered to support the participation of professors and students of the Ploiesti Oil and Gas University at international scientific conferences and Olympiads held in Turkmenistan in the first half of 2024. It was also proposed to organize lectures on transport and energy diplomacy of Turkmenistan for students of the Romanian University during 2024.
The parties agreed to hold joint cultural events (round tables, conferences) this year between the Ploiesti Oil and Gas University and the Embassy in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great Turkmen poet Magtymguly Fragi.
Within the framework of his visit, A. Annayev met with Turkmen students studying at the Oil and Gas University of Ploesti. Speaking to the students, the ambassador spoke about the close attention of the leadership of Turkmenistan to the issues of Turkmen youth, reports the press service of the Turkmen Embassy in Romania.
