The Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in events marking the 80th anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad

The Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Russia Esen Aydogdyev visited St. Petersburg on January 27 to take part in the celebrations dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

During the funeral ceremony at the Piskarevskoye Memorial Cemetery, the diplomat laid flowers at the Monument to the Heroes of Turkmenistan who died in the battles for the liberation of Leningrad.

Participants in the events paid tribute to those killed in the siege at the “Motherland” monument.

In addition, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan attended a festive concert at the “Gazprom Arena” stadium with the participation of Russian cultural and artistic figures.
