The ceremony of laying flowers to the memorial plate to honour Turkmenistan heroes in Saint Petersburg

On May 9, the “Mekan” Society of Turkmen Culture in St.Petersburg organized the ceremony of laying flowers to the memorial plate at the Piskarevsky Memorial Cemetery, erected in honor of the heroes of Turkmenistan, the fallen in battles of the Leningrad, Volkhov and Karelian Fronts during the Great Patriotic War.

This monument in honour of our compatriots was erected on May 8, 2006 by the Department of the Humanitarian Association of World Turkmens for St.Petersburg and North-West Russia, the “Mekan” Society of Turkmen Culture in St.
