The Ambassador of Turkmenistan took part in the traditional “Orange Festival” in Pakistan

On January 28, the annual “Orange Festival” was held in the historical district of Taxila, Punjab province of Pakistan. The event, aimed at promoting the cultural heritage of Pakistan, was attended by the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the country Atajan Movlamov, who is also the Doyen* of the diplomatic corps, reports the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry.

The event was organized by the office of the Doyen of the Diplomatic Corps in Islamabad and the vice-chairman of the Research Center Elan Zaildar Ahsan Shah. The venue for the festival was the “Zaildar House”.

In his speech at the event, the Ambassador of Turkmenistan noted that the festival promotes close acquaintance of the diplomatic community with the culture and history of Pakistan.

In addition to the Ambassador of Turkmenistan, the festival was attended by the Deputy Chairman of the Senate of Pakistan, members of the Government, heads of diplomatic missions, cultural and business figures. Foreign guests expressed interest in expanding cultural ties with Pakistan.
