The Central Bank of Turkmenistan approved cybersecurity requirements for the country's banks

The Central Bank of Turkmenistan has approved a new procedure for compliance with requirements for ensuring cyber protection and information security in the country's banking system. The contents of the document were published by the information center of the Ministry of Justice.

According to the procedure, requirements have been adopted for the organization of a cyber protection system in banks, measures to protect against unauthorized access and malicious software. Network security requirements are also established to ensure confidentiality and data integrity.

In addition, requirements have been introduced for the multifunctional One Window system, e-commerce, log analysis and business continuity.

Banks are required to determine a list of critical information infrastructure objects and ensure their protection. It is also necessary to conduct a cybersecurity risk assessment.
