The closing ceremony of the IV International Theater Festival was held in Turkmenistan

On Thursday, November 16, the closing ceremony of the IV International Festival “Theatrical Art of the Age of Happiness” was held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, according to the website of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan.

In Ashgabat, the ceremony was held at the Main Academic Drama Theater.

Minister of Culture of Turkmenistan Atageldy Shamuradov, speaking at the ceremony, noted that cultural events are regularly held in Turkmenistan, cultural and artistic figures of the country participate in international festivals held abroad.

He emphasized that the next international theater festival, held in the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, helps to strengthen friendly ties between peoples and further expand cultural cooperation.

During the ceremony, creative teams of theaters from countries participating in the international festival were awarded special diplomas and cups.

The heads of participating theaters also spoke at the closing ceremony of the festival. They noted that the festival was organized, successful and effective.

On the stage of the Main Academic Drama Theater named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy, was held an artistic reading “Theater is my destiny” performed by the artist of Turkmenistan Shemshat Kasymova, and a literary and musical composition performed by theater artists was also shown.

The final touch of the ceremony was the song “Farewell to the Festival!” performed by artists of Turkmenistan.
