The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Sustainable Transport Contribution to Sustainable Development” is being held in Ashgabat in a hybrid format, reports a Turkmenportal correspondent.
At the forum, the heads of such international organizations as the International Road Transport Union, the International Air Transport Association, the Organization for Cooperation between Railways, the Organization for Economic Cooperation, etc. made a video message.
Mammethan Chakyev, Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, made a report on the priorities of Ashgabat in the development of a sustainable transport system and global cooperation.
During the conference sessions, participants will discuss global experience and future development of sustainable transport, issues of introducing new technologies, increasing the safety and efficiency of transportation, reducing the negative impact of transport on the environment, developing transport infrastructure and multimodal transport, digitalization of the transport industry, etc.
