The dollar exchange rate “at the black market” reaches 25 manats

Correspondents of “Chronicles of Turkmenistan” report from Dashoguz that the dollar exchange rate at the local “black market” has reached 25 manats, which is seven times as much as the official rate of 3,5 manats.

The previous week the dollar was bought at a maximum of 21,5 manats.

Following the soaring dollar exchange rate the price hike for groceries and merchandise has been recorded.

Last week a pack of Russian-made pasta was sold at 3,6 manats whereas now its price has increased to 5,6 manats (+55%).
