1.European Immunization Week has started in Turkmenistan.Its main goal is to raise awareness of the importance of immunization in preventing disease and protecting life.It should be noted that Turkmenistan is the first and only country where vaccination of the population against infectious diseases is carried out free of charge.
The government of Turkmenistan fully finances the purchase of all vaccines and makes them free for children.
2.On April 27, the Russian House in Ashgabat will become the venue for the International Historical “Victory Dictation”, which is dedicated to the events of the Second World War.
The dictation will be given for the fifth year in a row.The purpose of this historical project is to attract the attention of the general public to the study of the history of the Great Patriotic War, increase the level of historical literacy, and patriotic education of young people.

3.The Ashgabat Equestrian Complex hosted the second qualifying round of the international Ahal-Teke horse beauty contest, timed to coincide with the National Day of the Turkmen Horse celebrated on the last Sunday of April.
The competition was established in 2009.At the first stage, 20 out of 45 purebred horses were selected.The final of the competition, which included 10 best Ahal-Teke horses, will be held on April 29.
4.The postal service company “Turkmenpost” celebrates its 30th anniversary this month.Starting its activities in April 1993, the company has achieved significant achievements during this period in realizing its main goal - meeting the needs of the population in modern communication services. “Turkmenpost” is a member of the universal postal union and has the status of a postal operator of states.
At present time, in all corners of the country there are branches of “Turkmenpost” that meet the most modern service requirements, employing over 2000 people.
5. The third Open Mathematical Olympiad - OMOUS-2023 has started at the International University for the Humanities and Development. More than 280 contestants from Turkmenistan, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iran, Mexico, Germany, Hungary, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan take part in the intellectual battles. The competition program includes individual and team rounds, and the summing up is scheduled for April 28.
6. The Day of India was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The event was organized by the Embassy of India in Turkmenistan in cooperation with the university. The students were shown a presentation about India, a quiz and a thematic exhibition were organized.

7. President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed amendments to the law on a four-day working week. The possibility of establishing a four-day working week at the discretion of the employer will appear from July 1 of this year, which will be enshrined in the Labor Code of the country.
8.In 2023, the Go Viral festival visits five Central Asian countries.Last month, on March 17-18, an event was held in Tashkent.The next stop is the city of Osh in Kyrgyzstan.
The event will be held on April 28-29 at Osh State University.The main theme is the creative economy with a focus on tourism and agriculture.Go Viral Osh gives members the opportunity to make new connections and receive job offers, mentorships or internships.

9. The national ice hockey team of Turkmenistan won silver medals at the world championship in South Africa in the third division of group “A”. The team from Taiwan took the first place in the group. Turkmenistan in the dispute for silver medals outstripped the teams of South Africa, Thailand and Luxembourg.
10.The Delegation of the European Union in Turkmenistan with the alp-club “Mert” will hold a sports festival on rock climbing and table tennis in Balkanabat.The sports festival, timed to coincide with the 30th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations between the EU and Turkmenistan, will be held on April 27 at 14:00 at the “Sports Toplumy” stadium in the administrative center of the Balkan velayat.
11.The national football team of Turkmenistan got into the third basket during the draw of the Central Asian Football Championship.Seven teams will take part in the tournament.
In addition to Turkmenistan, these are Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Oman.The tournament draw will begin on April 26 at 14:00 Ashgabat time.The tournament itself will be held from June 9 to 21 in Bishkek and Tashkent.
