The Football Association of Thailand has offered to hold a friendly match between the national teams of Thailand and Turkmenistan, reports News Directory.
The match will be held in the province of Sisaket in the northeast of Thailand on May 27, 2022. The Football Association of Thailand is waiting the decision of the Football Federation of Turkmenistan.
The national teams of Turkmenistan and Thailand met on the field only once. The teams tied in a friendly match 3:3 on November 21, 1998. The match was held at the Suphachalasai Stadium in Bangkok (Thailand).
Now in the FIFA ranking Thailand is in 111th position, Turkmenistan is in 134th.
The next official matches of the Turkmenistan national team will be held in June 2022 these will be the games of the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2023 against the teams of Malaysia, Bangladesh and Bahrain.
The matches of the group round of the qualifying tournament will be held in a centralized format in one round on June 8, 11 and 14, 2022.All matches of the Asian Cup-2023 qualifiers with the participation of the Turkmen team will be held at the “Bukit Jalil” National Stadium in the capital of Malaysia.
