The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, took part in a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CIS Member States (CIS Foreign Ministers), which was held on October 12 in the city of Bishkek, reports the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the heads of foreign affairs agencies discussed current events in the international arena, as well as the state and prospects of cooperation in three key areas: politics, economics and culture. The parties paid special attention to preparations for the celebration of the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
In addition, issues of interregional cooperation, security, and the fight against international terrorism and organized crime were discussed at the meeting.
