The Russian Embassy in Ashgabat launched publications about Turkmenistan veterans of the Second World War

In order to perpetuate the exploits of the heroes of Turkmenistan in the Great Patriotic War, the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Turkmenistan has begun a series of publications about them. This was reported by the publication vestiabad with reference to the media resource “Greater Asia”.

The initiative was launched on the eve of the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The Embassy encourages all citizens of Turkmenistan to share family stories of their heroic ancestors so that their exploits can be included in the archives of the diplomatic mission.

Biographies and photographs of participants in the Great Patriotic War are accepted to a special email address: rusemb-ashkhabad@mid.ru.

As part of this initiative, the birthdays of two Turkmen citizens, war veterans, were celebrated: the 98th anniversary of Sergei Agamyan and the 100th anniversary of Matryona Volgina, the source notes.
