The Indian Embassy in Ashgabat announced the start of online classes in Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Odissi dances

The Indian Embassy in Ashgabat reported that the opportunity has opened for Turkmen citizens to take part in online classes in Kathak, Bharatnatyam and Odissi folk dances.

The classes will be conducted through the efforts of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations to enhance learning opportunities for international students.

Classes start on January 15, 2024 at 14:30 local time. Classes are held separately for each type of dance:

• Odissi - every Monday; • Bharatnatyam - every Wednesday; • Kathak - every Friday.

The duration of training for each discipline is one year. Upon successful completion of the course, students will receive a certificate.

The Embassy notes that each student is charged a nominal fee of 20 USD to complete one course.

Those wishing to take part in the training must register until December 27. To do this, they need to contact the Second Secretary of the Embassy, Ms. Pushplata Singh by email admn.ashgabat@mea.gov.in
