Today the world’s community celebrates the International Children’s Day which was established in 1949 with the aim of attracting of people’s attention to the problems faced by children all over the planet.
Traditionally in Turkmenistan various events for children are held by the state and public sectors of the country on this date.
Thus, the Chairman of the Children’s fund of the Central Council of the Youth Organization of Turkmenistan named after Mahtumkuli Aylar Urazsakhatova told about what activities the Fund carried out this year on the occasion of the International Children's Day.
For pupils of specialized and auxiliary boarding schools children’s drawings contest was held. Moreover, a children's dance festival “Children are the flowers of life!” which was attended by choreographic groups from all over the country.
Traditional entertainment events for a large group of pupils of specialized and auxiliary boarding schools, children from large families and families who found themselves in a difficult life situation, as well as children who are specially registered in the Children's Fund were held in the park of culture and recreation “Ashgabat”.
Moreover, today in the medical institutions of Ashgabat was held an action: mothers, who gave birth to children on June 1, will be given a gift sets for newborns.
Apart from the events held with the participation of the Children’s Fund, today in Ashgabat cartoon festival is conducted with support of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography.
The UNICEF representative office in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of education, Ministry of heal care and medical industry conducted a children's drawing contest “Who is my hero?” among schools in Ashgabat and velayats on this day.
