The second Turkmen-Korean consultative meeting was held within the framework of the second meeting of the chairmen of the parliaments of the Central Asian states and the Republic of Korea with the participation of representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea.
As reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan, regular meetings contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries, emphasizing the importance of inter-parliamentary relations.
The meeting discussed current issues of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation, including the areas of transport, energy, high technology, science, education, healthcare, sports, tourism, climate change and environmental protection.
Bilateral meetings were also held between the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan Dunyagozel Gulmanova and her colleagues from Kazakhstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as meetings of interparliamentary Friendship Groups.
