The national football team of Turkmenistan under the leadership of Yazkuli Hojageldiev arrived to Malaysian city Kuala-Lumpur to take part in the qualification competition of the Asian Cup-2023.
The main coach of the national football team brought 23 players to Malaysia. Earlier the team conducted a camp in Thailand (May 25-30).
In the qualification tournament of the Asian Cup-2023 the national team of Turkmenistan will play in group “E” with Bahrain, Malaysia and Bangladesh. All matches in this group will be held in one round.
The national team of Turkmenistan will begin the qualifying tournament of the Asian Cup-2023 with a match against the host of the Malaysia group, which will be held on June 8.
Three days later, on June 11, the Turkmen national team will meet with Bangladesh.And in the final round of the qualifying round, the national team of Turkmenistan will meet with the team of Bahrain.
All matches of the selection of the Asian Cup-2023 with the participation of the Turkmen national team will be held on the National Stadium “Bukit Jalil” in the Malaysian capital.
The winners of the six groups and five best teams among those taken the second place will enter the final part of the Asian Cup 2023.
