The new Turkish Ambassador to Turkmenistan presented copies of his credentials

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenistan Ahmet Demirok, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reports.

Meredov congratulated the ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post and wished him success in his diplomatic activities.

During the meeting, the parties discussed a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation in the political, economic, humanitarian and cultural spheres.

Interest was noted in the further development of interparliamentary relations and interaction within the UN, OIC and other international organizations.

Particular attention was paid to the need to continue contacts at the highest level. In this context, the importance of the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Turkey in October 2023 was stated.

Presenting copies of his credentials, Ambassador Demirok emphasized that he would make every effort to further strengthen Turkmen-Turkish ties.
