The part of the Great Wall of China collapsed due to earthquake

An earthquake with a magnitude of 6,9 caused the destruction of a section of the Great Wall of China. According to “lenta.ru” with reference to the Global Times, about two meters of the largest architectural monument collapsed.

It is specified that the earthquake occurred in Qinghai province in northwestern China, with an epicenter 114 kilometers from the site of the collapse. Repair and restoration work has already begun at the scene of the incident.

The collapsed section of the Great Wall of China was built during the reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644).
