The President approves the updated version of the Central Asian Shepherd sculpture

On 25 November President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a working session bringing together khyakims of the velayats and the city of Ashgabat.

At the session the khyakim of Ashgabat Shamukhammet Durdlylyev presented a new version of the sculpture of Central Asian Shepherd, which was “finalized taking into account the remarks made by the President”.

Judging by the slides which had been shown, only the decoration of the base, where the statue of the dog will be installed on, was changed. It had been previously decorated with the Turkmen ornaments whereas now the base will be decorated as the cover of the book authored by the President “Turkmen Central Asian Shepherd”.

The state information agency TDH reports that this version of the sculpture was approved by the President who mentioned that “it will seamlessly blend into the architectural complex of the capital”.

Let us recall that on 6 November Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov inspected Ashgabat.During the trip around the city the head of state familiarized himself with the designs of the construction sites, scheduled to be commissioned in 2020 in honour of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality.

The sculpture of the Turkmen Central Asian Shepherd was among them.
