On 21 June President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov held a meeting in the Ashgabat city hall devoted to the urban development of the capital and preparations for the Asian Games.
By drawing the attention of the Deputy Prime Minister D.Amangeldiev and khyakim of Ashgabat Shamukhammet Durdylyev and B.Khodjamammedov to the lack of proper control over the execution of resolutions to carry out beautification works in the city, which clearly define the volume of works and deadlines, the head of the state instructed to speed up the construction works, according to the state information agency TDH.
Serious reprimands were issued in connection with equipping the road network in terms of providing greater comfort for passengers, pedestrians and drivers. Ill-considered approach towards the location of public transport stops, above-ground and underground pedestrian tunnels, which should meet the criteria of modern city environment, was discussed.
The President issued severe reprimands to D.Amangeldiev and Sh.Durdylyev for shortcomings in their work.A severe reprimand was issued to khyakim of Kopetdag etrap A. Annacharyev for failure to properly perform his duties with the final warning to eliminate the shortcomings.
The President also signed decrees to issue severe reprimands to khyakim of Bagtyyarlyk etrap R.Annaberdiev, khyakim of Archabil etrap A. Redjepalyev, khyakim of Abadan etrap A. Ataev and khyakim of Rukhabat etrap B.
Bairamdurdyev for poor performance of job responsibilities and a failure to complete urban planning and landscaping in the city of Ashgabat within set deadlines.
Berdymukhammedov gave an order to tighten control over meeting fire safety regulations and other maintenance procedures for buildings and structures, especially in old houses.The Interior Minister Isgender Mulikov was instructed to ensure modern road surface marking is used, traffic signs and information boards are installed in new city motorways and the work of road inspection service is properly organized.
