The award ceremony for the winners of the essay contest "The Role of Diplomacy in the 21st Century" took place today.
The competition was organized by the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan in honor of the announcement of 2023 as the "International Year of Dialogue as a Guarantee of Peace" and was held among students of universities in Turkmenistan.
Under the terms of the competition, participants had to write an essay in Russian on one of the proposed thematic areas: "Dialogue - a guarantee of peace - a new philosophy of international relations", "The role of a foreign language in intercultural communication", "Dialogue of cultures and UNESCO", "Cultural diplomacy - language of interethnic dialogue".
As a result of the competition, Arslan Mamedov, a student of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammed Azadi, became the owner of the Grand Prix.
Mengli Charyeva, a student of the International University for the Humanities and Development, was awarded the 1st place, Mekan Annagulyev, a student of the Turkmen National Institute of World Languages named after Dovletmammed Azadi, was awarded the 2nd place, and Ayjeren Orazberdiyeva, a student of the Magtymguly Turkmen State University, took the 3rd place.
The competition also included a category for international students.Here, the 1st place was taken by Aygul Meredova, a student of the Faculty of International Relations, the 2nd place - Oguzhan Piriyev, a student of the Faculty of International Relations, the 3rd place - Erem Dovletmyradov, a student of the Faculty of International Economic Relations, Ejesh Taganova, a student of the Faculty of International Journalism and Davut Nazmuradov, a student of the Faculty of International Relations IMO Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
All the winners of the competition were awarded diplomas and valuable gifts from the Aýdyň gijeler company, according to the IMO website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
