In the northern part of Ashgabat Street Khoja Ahmet Yasavi - one of the significant city roads has been reconstructed.The decision on reconstruction was accepted in connection with the growing transport congestion of the rather narrow street.
As a result the road has been expanded and replaced, new engineering communications have been laid - the highway with a length of 4 thousand metres has found a modern look according to the international standards, including a road marking, systems of street illumination and an accompanying infrastructure.
In honour of its opening the celebration which has begun on the crossing of Street Khoja Ahmet Yasavi with Avenue Bitarap Turkmenistan, near to the international airport has taken place.
Here, near to crossroads, three monitors on which music videos devoted to the 5th Asian indoor and martial arts games are shown, were established. The width of the central monitor - 18 metres, two others - 10 metres.
From here a bus caravan with honourable elders and children, art workers and arts was given a start. After it there went wedding motorcades with a newly-married couple the weddings of whom coincided with today's ceremonies of opening of new objects in Ashgabat.
The festive automobile procession stopped at a monumental composition "Shahyr" (Poet) on the crossing of Streets Khoja Ahmet Yasavi and Nurmuhammed Andalib. Here the children let out a set of multi-coloured balloons into the sky and then a small concert program with incendiary dance kushdepdi took place.
Issues of development of road system, transport infrastructure remain one of the major in the town-planning program of the capital. Lately in Ashkhabad there have been realized a number of large-scale projects connected with improvement of transport maintenance and comfort of citizens. And such work in the city is conducted on a systematic basis.
