The Turkmen delegation will pay a visit to Moscow on March 30-April 2, to participate in a session of the Turkmen-Russian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation, political consultations at the Foreign Ministry level and in a meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
During the visit, a number of joint documents are in due to be signed.
In particular, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov authorized Vice-Premier and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between the governments of Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation on biological security and two decisions of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers.
One of them concerns the Address of the heads of the Commonwealth to the People of the Nations of the Commonwealth and World Community on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Soviet People’s Victory in 1941-1945 Great Patriotic War, while the second concerns cooperation in the field of physical culture and sports.
The President of Turkmenistan also authorized the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Chairman of the Supreme Control Chamber Serdar Berdimuhamedov to sign an intergovernmental agreement with the Russian Federation on promotion interregional cooperation.
Moreover, at the level of the designated authorities in Moscow, other bilateral documents will be signed. It includes: on cooperation in the field of implementation of international health regulations, on exchange of customs information and statistics on mutual trade.
The head of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan will sign agreements on cooperation with PJSC Transcapitalbank and the State Specialized Russian Export-Import Bank.
In addition, it is planned to sign a Memorandum on Scientific Cooperation and Training of Agricultural experts between the Turkmen Agricultural University and the Moscow Association “Seeds”.
