The Turkmen film “Red Kurte” took part in the film festival in Dushanbe

The film Gyzyl kürte (“Red Kurte”) directed by Sahysalyh Bayramov took part in the competitive feature film program of the First International Film Festival “Toji Somon”, which was held in mid-October in Dushanbe.

A group of young filmmakers from the Turmenfilm Association named after Oguz Han was sent from Turkmenistan to the festival.

The film festival was aimed at supporting creative youth, exchanging experience, improving the skills of young filmmakers, developing joint projects, strengthening and expanding international relations in the film industry.

The festival announced 2 nominations: feature films and short films. Films from Europe, Asia and the CIS were brought for participation.

As part of the film forum, master classes, photo exhibitions and seminars on cinema were also held, reports the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.

We previously reported that the film Gyzyl kürte was nominated for the Best Film in Central Asia award.
