President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov is spending his holidays on the coast of the Caspian Sea.The state information agency TDH reports that on the third day of his holidays the head of the state tested a new rally vehicle sent from Germany on the final section of the race track for the car rally “Amul-Khazar” scheduled to be held in September.
Needless to say, the President won the race leaving a professional race driver from the Motorsport Centre under Turkmenistan’s Interior Ministry behind.
In an interview to journalists from local media outlets, the President told about his car designed based on his own drawings. According to President Berdymukhammedov, there are technical faults in the design.
“First of all, under our weather conditions the engine is overheated which means that the cooling system needs to be improved.Secondly, a device which prevents wheels from being stuck in the sand needs to be designed”, — the head of the state said but immediately added that the vehicle will be operational in a month or a month and a half since it “has quite a good potential”.
“Despite the holidays, the President of Turkmenistan combines the holidays with the state affairs devoting his time to focus on the needs of residents, sports, youth and the future of the country”, — TDH says.
Let us recall that during the first two days of the holidays, the President worked on a new book, wrote poetry, together with his grandson he composed music for the song and performed a rap ballade devoted to sports.
The holidays of the Turkmen President will last until 23 July.
