The Week of the Department of Journalism was held at the Turkmen State University

The week of the Department of Journalism was held at the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly.

The week entitled “Great achievements inspiration for young journalists” was dedicated to the history and modernity of Turkmen journalism, achievements and significant events in this area, as well as the successes of students studying journalism.

As the publication “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports, during the Week, professors and teachers of the Department of Journalism held open general lectures on the topics “Magtymguly Fragi the light of the spiritual world of the Turkmen people” and “Coverage of the wise policy of Arkadagly Serdar on the pages of periodicals.”

An essay competition was also held on the educational significance of Magtymguly Fragi’s work, dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding poet and philosopher of the East.

Events such as an advisory session “Addressing Magtymguly’s works when writing term papers”, a competition of theatrical scenes based on legends about Magtymguly, and artistic readings of the poet’s works were also timed to coincide with the anniversary of the classic poet.

As part of the Week, meetings with luminaries of Turkmen journalism were also organized for students.

At the closing ceremony of the event, professors, teachers and students were presented with memorable gifts, the source notes.
