During an official visit to Turkmenistan, a cultural program was organized for the wife of the President of the Republic of Korea, Kim Kon Hee.Together with the wife of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedova, she visited an exhibition in the lobby of the Arkadag Hotel, where examples of Turkmen cultural heritage were presented handmade carpets, arts and crafts, jewelry, embroidery and museum exhibits, TDH reports.
Ogulgerek Berdimuhamedova told Mrs. Kim about the history of Turkmen carpet weaving. The guest highly appreciated the art of local craftswomen who create world-famous masterpieces.
The couple also watched a show of women’s clothing from the Turkmen Fashion House, combining national traditions and modern trends.
