President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received in Ashgabat on Friday Kim Jin-pyo, Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea.
During the meeting, the Turkmen President stated that Turkmenistan highly values its relations with South Korea and is ready to further develop them in all directions, the official Turkmen media reported.
The Speaker of the National Assembly of South Korea expressed gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan for awarding him the Order of Neutrality, noting that he will support the further development of Turkmen-South Korean cooperation.
Both sides noted that Turkmenistan and South Korea have a strong relationship based on cooperation in politics, diplomacy, and international organizations. The two countries are also committed to long-term trade and economic cooperation.
President Berdimuhamedov and Kim Jin-pyo expressed their best wishes to each other and expressed confidence that interstate relations will be further strengthened in all directions.
During his visit to Turkmenistan, Speaker of the South Korean National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo and his accompanying delegation also visited the city of Arkadag and the Turkmen Carpet Museum.
