The World Health Organization has canceled the status of a pandemic COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is over, World Health Organization chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has announced. He announced this decision on Friday at a briefing in Geneva, reports TASS.

Ghebreyesus stressed that the announced decision to end the global health emergency in connection with covid should not be regarded as “a reason to reduce vigilance”.

Let us remind that a public health emergency of international importance of the highest level, or, more simply, a pandemic, was declared about three years ago, in March 2020. The first cases of the virus were recorded in the Chinese city of Wuhan in December 2019. Within a few months, the virus had spread throughout the planet.
