TM-CELL Offers Virtual Numbers to Its Customers

At the XVI International Exhibition and Scientific Conference of Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies and Broadcasting Equipment Türkmentel 2023 held in the capital of Turkmenistan, Joint Stock Company Closed Type TM-CELL Altyn Asyr offered a new service for its customers - virtual numbers, the official Turkmen media reported on Thursday.

A virtual telephone number is not connected to a physical device or SIM card. A device with the necessary technology is required to utilise it, typically equipped with a specialised chip or module.

Scanning a QR code, connecting to the internet, and accessing the smartphone settings are the steps to activate virtual numbers. It is important to note that this activation can only be performed on a single device, and once the virtual card is activated, it cannot be connected to another device.

The entire process typically takes just a few minutes to complete.

Virtual numbers offer several advantages, such as cost savings (as virtual numbers are typically cheaper than physical SIM cards and do not involve monthly subscription fees) and enhanced privacy (virtual numbers enable anonymity since they are not linked to physical devices).
