German specialist Thomas Tuchel will part with the position of head coach of “Bayern” Munich after the end of the current season. This was reported by the club's press service.
According to “Bayern” general director Jan-Christian Dresen, the decision was made by mutual agreement of the parties. The club's goal is to rebuild with a new coach by the 2024/25 season.
Tuchel himself noted that until the end of the contract, he and his team will do everything possible to achieve maximum results.
Let us remind that “Bayern” suffered three defeats in a row in the last matches. In the German Championship, the team is in second place, 8 points behind “Bayer”, which is leading in the table. In the first match of the 1/8 finals of
the Champions League, the Munich team lost to the Italian “Lazio” - 0:1, and also lost to “Saarbrücken” in the second round of the German Cup.
Tuchel, 50, will take over at “Bayern” in March 2023. Before that, he coached a number of top European clubs, including “Borussia” Dortmund, “PSG” and “Chelsea” in London.
