Turkmen, Azerbaijani Customs Officers Exchange Experience on Digitalization

Representatives of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan held a working meeting with representatives of the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan via video link on Wednesday.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Agreement between the customs agencies of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan on cooperation and mutual assistance in customs matters, the Turkmen State Customs Service said in its press release.

The purpose of the event was to familiarize with the practice of using electronic customs technologies in seaports, as well as the introduction of the Single Window mechanism in Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the Azerbaijani customs agency informed about the ongoing reforms in the customs system of the country, the use of information technologies, electronic services and information exchange.

The Azerbaijani representatives particularly provided information on projects that they intend to implement such as the Green Corridor and Digital Window.

The meeting was also attended by representatives of the ministries and departments of Turkmenistan involved in the ongoing project Single Window for Export-Import Operations.
