Turkmen Company Starts Growing Bananas in Kaka District

Hemsaýa company launched the greenhouse to grow bananas in Kaka district of Turkmenistan’s Ahal province, the country’s Rysgal newspaper reported on Monday.

The greenhouse covers 5 hectares of land and employs more than 40 specialists.

The facility, installed with machinery from Turkey, Germany and Spain, has an automated system to regulate temperature and humidity. It also uses water-saving irrigation methods to grow crops.

The company currently grows Cavendish bananas. It aims to annually harvest 100 tons of the crops.

Currently, Ferhar company grows bananas in Sakarchage district of Turkmenistan’s Mary province.
