Turkmen Company to Build National Pavilion For Expo 2025 Osaka

Turkmenistan will announce a competition among domestic specialized companies for the selection of projects for the construction of the National Pavilion of the country at the World Expo 2025 Osaka.

Batyr Atdayev, the Deputy Chairman of the Turkmen Government overseeing the country’s trade and textile complex, informed of plans to this end during the online cabinet meeting hosted by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday.

The World Expo 2025 will be held from April 13 till October 13, 2025 in Japan’s Osaka city under the theme "Designing Future Society for Our Lives", Atdayev said, adding that the Turkmen National Pavilion is expected to be located at the section "Expansion of Social Opportunities”.

Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov said original solutions reflecting traditions of the national architecture should be used in the design of the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan.

Focusing on the importance of participation in the World Expo 2025, the Head of State said such exhibitions provide great opportunities to demonstrate the achievements of Turkmenistan, its export potential, exchange experiences and address issues of mutually beneficial cooperation.

The Turkmen national pavilion under the theme “Turkmenistan Homeland of Peace and Trust” operated at the Expo 2020 Dubai, which lasted from October last year to March 2022. This pavilion is expected to be used for another five years for the promotion and sale of Turkmen products, business meetings and forums.
